J's infallible guide to getting a free dinner, tip #1
Book table for two in restaurant on Valentine's night. Turn up with one rose and a watch. Place rose on table, check watch at regular intervals and sigh. Sigh some more. After a sufficient amount of time, shake head in resignation and order meal. With some luck and in an ideal world,* they shouldn't charge you for the meal. Or pour you a glass of wine on the house. Or at the very least feel sorry for you.
*being reasonably attractive might help, too.

oh dear, did you do that? Dining out with a girlfriend on valentine's is a truly awful experience, dining out alone, hmmm, now that's worse! Even if there is a free glass of wine involved :-)
Last VDay was one of the best for me, spent with you and J at that nice restaurant..don't even remember what kind of food it was.
This year was spent with the me and the hubbs sick as dogs watching back to back eps of Lost. yay...
J's plan must work, he's just cute as a button!
much love to you both, plus hugs to the kitty and special lady
Hey Y, this too, shall pass. Can't believe I'm drinking one milkshake a day - it's like a dream come true! Haha. By the way, GREAT blog template. How did you get it to work? I downloaded the zip file but am at a complete loss how to proceed.
