Lady of leisure
1. Mostly, I have been retrieving the cat down from the curtain rail at regular intervals. Pancho the 6 month old cat was spayed on Friday, and since then we are meant to curb her level of activity. But oh no; she’s never been so hyper, climbing up and jumping down like a monkey on crack.
2. On Sunday night, my SLF and I had a date; I took her to see Margaret Cho at her Majesty’s theatre. Before the performance we sat in the foyer detailing the audience: the Korean contingent; the young gay boys contingent; the gay boy with his mom; the lesbian contingent in their (surely?) clown outfits; the cast of Little Britain; the older gay man who disappeared into the toilet with the gay boy with his mom, but this time without his mom, are you following? Maybe that was his idea of a Mother’s day present; in any case, his jumper was surely his mom’s idea. The trendy lesbian contingent with the scornful expression. Us two. Then we filed into the theatre excitedly, and the show was good, and I do fancy Margaret Cho. She’s sharp, she’s beautiful, and she doesn’t shout too much.
3. Thank you for stopping by. Any ideas of what to cook for dinner tonight would be welcome.

Margaret Cho is one sharp, hot cookie.
Francine spayed?! ....I was hoping the house of Y would be filled with mini Francine's.
At least it hasn't curbed her wanderlust.
21 day matured sirloin
green salad & tomatoes with walnut oil
blueberry tart to follow - I would have suggested with ice cream, but it's a little cold for that.
Not very original I know, but it hits the spot.
Thank you for the date. it was wonderful.
One thing I have learned in life. NEVER try to catch a pissed off kitty.
I would be pissed off too, if I'd had my bits mangled. And hiding on the curtain rail.
How have you survived? (or maybe I'm just not a cat person.)
I do agree with the 'getting cats spayed' thing, by the way. But I'd still avoid her until she's calmed down / eaten too many treats given by guilty-feeling owner to move claws quick enough to kill..
And dinner. Order take-out. :)
Don't ask me; one night last week I had fish fingers and boiled rice.
Tater Tots. And tinned vegetarian chili. And lots of shredded Cheddar. And a cheap bottle of Merlot off the bargain rack. And maybe watch one of the Thin Man movies whilst having your repast.
I'm hungry now.
Cats are perhaps best left to jump down from wherever they climb - afterall they are supposed to have 9 lives?
Shepherds Pie???
what did you have in the end?
