- whiskey: a wee dram (officially), 100ml (officiously)
- Otrivine decongestant: two squirts up each nostril every so often.
- sympathy from friends (1) and family (1): occasional
- sympathy from feline (1) : non-existant
- self-pity and general whining: liberal amounts.
