tap tap tap tapping

This is the situation this week at thome:

- three (3) women heavily dependent on internet chatrooms
- one (1) computer
- rationed internet access by decree of My Mother, owner of said computer.

Just imagine.
We have to take turns.
We have to be sneaky, surreptitious, cunning even.
My mother gets up very early.
I’ve been known to get up during the night to have the computer all to myself.

My friend Zabélie and my mother share tips, since they both frequent the same internet site for desperate (straight) singles.
There are tips to be shared : what descriptions in strangers’ profiles actually mean, how to spot the psycho that will cheat on his wife, steal your savings and disappear.

Zabélie and I also share tips, although the site I favour caters for desperate defnitely non-straight singles.

My mother and I do not under any circumstances share tips, because of my own boundaries. Mainly, I get a rash as soon as she mentions any of it and I have either to switch the subject to the referendum for the European constitution, or leave the room.

I’m doing well, people of blogland. I have two dates planned for the end of the week.
I have to go now; everyone else’s gone to bed, I get the computer all to myself.

Do you have to delete the history in case she follows you up?

Jacqui : you know I can never turn down a free lunch. ;-)
Caroline - thank you, I'll need it. There are some weirdos out there you know, and I don't mean me.
Rah - I'll probably blog all about it. Especially if they go terribly wrong.
Greavsie - yes. How did you guess?...

So tell me: do you think that lesbian blind dating is more likely to be populated with wierdos than hetrosexual blind dating?

PS.I meant that comment quite sincerely, I know it's hard to tell with me.

I used to have to delete history religiously. Good luck with your dates.

Frogstar- depends what computer and browser you've got. I believe you've got a PC and internet explorer, yes? So go to History and it should be clear.

Caroline - Good question. To say yes would imply that there are simply more lesbisch weirdos than straight ones. I think that there are just as many weird straight women, it's just not so obvious. So the answer is : god help me.

Anne - 'xactly.

Hayley - what about cookies? did you delete your cookies, too? (Just for a extra ounce of paranoia...;-))
